Specifically, in Dak Lak province, pepper price today is purchased at 125,000 VND/kg; In Dak Nong province, pepper price today is purchased at 125,000 VND/kg; In Gia Lai province, pepper price today is at 123,000 VND/kg.
Meanwhile, in Dong Nai, pepper price today is at 123,000 VND/kg; In Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, pepper price today is at 123,000 VND/kg. In Binh Phuoc province, pepper price today is purchased at 123,000 VND/kg.
Pepper prices remained stable early this morning compared to the same time yesterday morning. Last week, domestic pepper prices lost an average of VND13,000/kg.
Sharing the same downward trend, the International Pepper Community (IPC) commented that the world pepper market is on a downward trend.
The increase in the USD along with the escalating armed conflicts in many regions has made many investors more cautious with the pepper market. Along with that, the increase in logistics costs has also contributed to short-term pressure on prices.
Over the past week, the DXY index, which measures the strength of the USD against a basket of six major currencies, has increased by about 0.6%. The main reason was driven by the trend of seeking safe-haven assets, in the context of increasing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
