The United States is the largest export market of Vietnamese pepper reaching 67,802 tons, an increase of 41.1% and accounting for 28.8% of the total export volume of Vietnamese pepper.

According to data just released by the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association, in November 2024, Vietnam exported 15,948 tons of pepper of all kinds, of which black pepper reached 13,606 tons, white pepper reached 2,342 tons. ton. Total pepper export turnover reached 106.5 million USD, of which black pepper reached 87.5 million USD, white pepper reached 19.0 million USD. Compared to October, exports decreased by 13.8% and compared to the same period in 2023, exports decreased by 21.4%.

The average export price of black pepper in November reached 6,513 USD/ton, white pepper reached 8,286 USD/ton, an increase of 229 USD for black pepper and 57 USD for white pepper respectively compared to October 2024. Olam is still the largest export enterprise in November reaching 2,089 tons, compared to the previous month, exports decreased by 19.5%.

Pepper exports to the US market still account for the largest proportion, accounting for 31.9%, reaching 5,089 tons. Next are the UAE markets reaching 927 tons, Hong Kong (China) reaching 895 tons, the Netherlands reaching 760 tons and Korea reaching 600 tons.

Overall, in the 11 months of 2024, pepper exports reached 235,335 tons with a total export turnover of 1.2176 billion USD, of which black pepper reached 1.361 billion USD, white pepper reached 181.5 million USD. Compared to the same period in 2023, export volume decreased by 3.5%, however, export turnover increased by 46.9%. The average export price of black pepper in 11 months reached 5,073 USD/ton, up 47.3% and white pepper reached 6,772 USD/ton, up 36.7% over the same period last year.

Next is the UAE market reaching 15,495 tons, an increase of 42.7%, accounting for 6.6%; Germany reached 14,170 tons, an increase of 67.7%, accounting for 6.0%; Pepper exports also increased in the Dutch market (41.8%); Korea increased by 34.8%; Pakistan increased by 34.5%; Canada increased by 19.7%; Russia increased by 15.5%, UK increased by 14.0%... In particular, pepper exports to Hong Kong (China) in the first 11 months of 2024 reached 3,933 tons compared to 129 tons in the same period last year.

China is the 6th largest export market of Vietnamese pepper in the first 11 months of 2024 and reached 9,661 tons, down 83.6% over the same period in 2023.

The leading exporters of Vietnamese pepper in the 11 months of 2024 include Olam Vietnam reaching 25,249 tons, an increase of 44.9%; Phuc Sinh reached 21,287 tons, an increase of 49.4%; Nedspice Vietnam reached 18,887 tons, an increase of 7.9%; Haprosimex JSC reached 17,097 tons, an increase of 70.6% and Pearl reached 15,256 tons, an increase of 0.8%.
