It is forecast that in 2025, major markets such as China, the US and the EU will continue to increase imports. China imported 9,677 tons of pepper in the first 11 months of 2024, a sharp increase in volume and value. Global pepper prices remain high due to reduced supply and increased demand, especially in the US, where black pepper prices peaked at 8,693 USD/ton in June 2024.
