Statistics show that the current domestic pepper price is still higher than the price level of previous years. This is a positive signal for the domestic market and shows that demand is gradually improving and sellers are more optimistic. The fact that prices fluctuate up and down within a narrow range reflects the stability of supply and demand, in the context that supply from farmers is no longer as abundant as at the beginning of the year.

One of the reasons contributing to the current pepper price support is the US government's imposition of higher tariffs on pepper imported from countries such as Indonesia and Brazil. This could disrupt global supply, while creating greater export opportunities for Vietnamese pepper in the coming months.

In the short term, domestic pepper prices are expected to remain high as inventories are low, while export enterprises are actively collecting goods to meet orders in the third quarter. In addition, the downward trend in output in some key exporting countries and the recovery in consumer demand after a sluggish first half of the year will also be positive factors supporting the market.

Latest information, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of Vietnam said that in the first half of this year, pepper exports to many markets increased sharply compared to the same period last year. Specifically, the most important market is the US, increasing by 35% and accounting for 27% of the market share; followed by Germany with a market share of over 9%, also achieving a growth rate of 74%; third is India, accounting for 8% of the market share and growing by 87%.
