Today's pepper price in Dak Nong has the lowest decrease compared to other localities, a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently traders are purchasing pepper in this locality at a price of 136,000 VND/kg. According to experts, the continuous downward adjustment of domestic pepper prices shows the instability in short-term supply and demand, especially when the key growing areas in the Central Highlands and the Southeast have almost finished harvesting.
However, the sharp drop in domestic pepper prices last week was due to a temporary adjustment. Therefore, with global supply still limited and consumption demand remaining stable, the pepper market is expected to regain balance in the near future. In the short term, the sideways trend will still be dominant, with a narrow fluctuation range.
Experts say that the consumption market still has potential, especially in Asia, Europe and North America. Although consumer demand may be temporarily affected by global economic factors, in the medium and long term, pepper is still an agricultural product with high export value due to its important role in the food, processing and medicinal supply chain.
However, there are still some risk factors, especially geopolitical fluctuations, logistics costs, technical barriers and competition from other exporting countries such as Brazil and Indonesia. In addition, if pepper prices continue to remain high, the possibility of expanding planting areas in other countries may also put pressure on supply in the future.
